We have the same experienced. In my childhood time up until now we always have Aratiles in our house, which we never planted, it just grow inside our compound. They said this Aratiles are brought by the birds and the seeds develop into their system and they discharge the seeds to grow in our backyard. What I noticed, in our place there is always a lot of birds in our area they like the place because we have many trees around that makes them cool. I love Aratiles, I cannot live without this trees around, there is something in this trees and fruits that I really love. I feel this trees are heavenly for me. I can feel the peace and happiness within while I am under the Aratiles trees. I have duyan which makes my siesta time perfect.

What a nostalgic post. :) I especially love the "anti-thesis to the tree of knowledge" part. I believe it's true sa time natin, before the dawn of the console games and I.T. age, where the Aratiles trees listened to our heartfelt talks and bore witness to our childhood humdrum with our friends. It was a free sanctuary from the worldly demands on us, even sa murang edad naten noon. Lovely to remember talaga, thanks for sharing. :D

Shannon, I love reminiscing :) But I guess we romanticize these memories and they may not be an accurate reflection of what it really us. Then again, it could be.

Shy, I wish we were! Back then, we only had one girl sa group namin that was our age. The consequence of which was she tried to learn to pee standing up, which always got messy :P I have to say, this is one of my favorite posts too :) spur of the moment thing, I was writing a completely different posts and it turned to this.
